Cablemaster HDMI cable contains Redmere’s RM1689C Integrated Chipset that allows sustainable speeds of 3.4Gbps per channel (10.2 Gbps total). The RM1689C is a compact module that fits inside the sink-side (display-side) casing of an active HDMI cable assembly. The cable is actually directional, so pay attention to the markings to make sure the electronics are on the display/sink side.

The RM1689C is an embedded cable booster utilizing Redmere’s unique Cable MagnifEye™ technology for HDMI™ category 2 cables. Data rates up to 3.4Gbps, supporting up to 1440p DTV resolutions, 16-bit colour depth and 120Hz refresh rates. The RM1689C is supplied as a module or as a discrete IC form for ease of integration to HDMI™ cable assemblies.
